Unbelievable Kvariati Glamping! 3 Domes Await in Georgia! - A Review (and My Chaotic Love Affair with It)
Alright, buckle up, buttercups, because I'm about to unleash the raw, unfiltered truth about Unbelievable Kvariati Glamping! 3 Domes Await in Georgia! This isn't your polished, PR-approved review – this is me, post-kebab and Georgian wine, telling you exactly what I thought. Prepare for a rollercoaster. Seriously, grab a Dramamine.
First Impressions & the Dome Life (aka, Is This Heaven?)
Okay, the name is a bit much, right? "Unbelievable"? But honestly? They’re not that far off. Driving up, you're greeted by these gorgeous, geodesic domes nestled on a hill overlooking the Black Sea. It's like a sci-fi movie and a luxury getaway had a baby. And that baby is Kvariati Glamping.
Accessibility (and My Slightly Clumsy Self):
- Okay, this is where things get a little…tricky. Accessibility isn't their strongest suit. There aren't any clear mentions of wheelchair accessibility. The terrain is hilly, and while there are paths, it's not exactly a smooth ride. I'd definitely contact them directly if accessibility is a major concern. It's important to ask about the paths and how easy it is to move because the paths are not always even, so walking may not be easy at some spots.
- Access in general is pretty good, though. Getting from the airport to the glamping site is doable, even with the somewhat…enthusiastic Georgian drivers. They offer Airport Transfer.
Rooms & Creature Comforts:
- Available in all rooms: Okay, let's talk domes. They’re spacious. I mean, they feel spacious, even if it's just the illusion of curves tricking my brain. They have Air conditioning (thank GOD; it gets HOT), Air conditioning in public area good. They have Alarm clock, Bathrobes (yes!), Bathroom phone (who uses these anymore?), Bathtub, Blackout curtains (essential for escaping the sunrise after one too many glasses of Saperavi), Carpeting, Closet, Coffee/tea maker (a lifesaver for a caffeine addict like yours truly!), Complimentary tea, Daily housekeeping (bless your souls!), Desk, Extra long bed (finally, a bed that fits my ridiculously long legs!), Free bottled water, Hair dryer, High floor (for those Instagrammable views!), In-room safe box, Interconnecting room(s) available, Internet access – LAN, Internet access – wireless, Ironing facilities, Laptop workspace, Linens, Mini bar, Mirror, Non-smoking (thankfully!), On-demand movies, Private bathroom, Reading light, Refrigerator, Safety/security feature, Satellite/cable channels, Scale (don't look, for the love of god!), Seating area, Separate shower/bathtub, Shower, Slippers, Smoke detector, Socket near the bed, Sofa, Soundproofing, Telephone, Toiletries, Towels, Umbrella, Visual alarm, Wake-up service, Wi-Fi [free], and Window that opens, Additional toilet. You know what? It felt like a luxury spaceship, in the best way possible.
- Internet Access: Okay, Wi-Fi [free] in the rooms is a must. I mean, how else am I going to humble-brag on Insta? I'm just kidding, mostly. Fast and reliable Internet, Internet [LAN], Internet services are important, and it was pretty dependable. Wi-Fi in public areas too, which is clutch for the pre-dinner cocktail selfie.
Dining, Drinking, and Snacking (My Favorite Categories!)
- Restaurants, Bar, Coffee shop, Poolside bar, Snack bar – Okay, the options were pretty awesome. A la carte in restaurant, Breakfast [buffet], Breakfast service, Buffet in restaurant, Coffee/tea in restaurant, Desserts in restaurant, International cuisine in restaurant, Salad in restaurant, Soup in restaurant, Vegetarian restaurant:
- The Breakfast [buffet] was a glorious sprawl. I think I ate an indecent amount of khachapuri (Georgian cheese bread – pure heaven). The Western breakfast was amazing. The Asian breakfast was less impressive, so I just stuck with the Western and Georgian options.
- The Restaurants offered a mix of Georgian and International cuisine – which suits any kind of taste.
- The Poolside bar? Essential. Happy hour was particularly…memorable. Those cocktails hit DIFFERENT after a day of exploring.
- The Snack bar was great for grabbing something quick after the pool.
- I would have loved to see more Asian cuisine in restaurant though.
- Room service [24-hour]: Amazing. Late-night khachapuri cravings? Sorted.
- I think they have Bottle of water as well, but I bought a bottle from the local kiosk, just in case.
- Alternative meal arrangement: I honestly didn't have any dietary requirements, so I didn't need this.
Things to Do (Beyond Eating and Drinking):
- Things to do, ways to relax: This is where Kvariati Glamping really shines. We were there to chill, and there were so many ways to do it:
- Swimming pool, Swimming pool [outdoor], Pool with view: The pool? Perfection. Infinity edge, overlooking the sea… absolute bliss. I spent an embarrassing amount of time just floating.
- Sauna, Spa, Spa/sauna – They had a full-on spa! I indulged in a Massage, and it was divine. My shoulders have never been so relaxed.
- Fitness center, Gym/fitness – I walked past these and saluted, because, priorities.
- Body scrub, Body wrap, Foot bath – Didn't try these, but they sounded pretty fancy!
Cleanliness & Safety (The Important Stuff):
- Okay, I'm a bit of a germophobe, and I was RELIEVED. They take this seriously. Anti-viral cleaning products, Daily disinfection in common areas, Hand sanitizer, Rooms sanitized between stays, Sanitized kitchen and tableware items, Staff trained in safety protocol – all the things you want to hear.
- They have Fire extinguisher, First aid kit, Front desk [24-hour], Hotel chain, Non-smoking rooms, Safety/security feature, Security [24-hour], Smoke alarms, Soundproof rooms as well. I felt safe.
- They had Cashless payment service and the Safe dining setup was pretty good. Physical distancing of at least 1 meter was in place, too.
Services & Conveniences:
- Services and conveniences: They had a ton of these!
- Concierge – Super helpful. We had them arrange a day trip.
- Currency exchange: Convenient.
- Daily housekeeping, Dry cleaning, Ironing service, Laundry service: Saved me from doing any actual work.
- Luggage storage, Safety deposit boxes: Peace of mind.
- Front desk [24-hour]: Always around, always helpful.
- Cash withdrawal, Convenience store, Facilities for disabled guests, Food delivery, Gift/souvenir shop, Elevator, On-site event hosting, Terrace, Wi-Fi for special events, Xerox/fax in business center: A whole host of conveniences to make the stay easier.
- Okay, a little rant: No Pets allowed – which is a tragedy for me. I missed my dog.
For the Kids (Bless Their Souls):
- Babysitting service, Family/child friendly, Kids facilities, Kids meal: If you are bringing kids, this glamping gives you a lot of amenities. I didn't have kids with me, so I didn't use any of these, but it seemed like a great option for families.
Getting Around (A Georgian Adventure)
- Getting around:
- Airport transfer: Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
- Car park [free of charge], Car park [on-site]: Plenty of parking.
- Taxi service, Valet parking: Convenient.
- Bicycle parking: Well, ok. I didn't see any bikes, but I guess if you're into that.
- Car power charging station: Very modern!
My One Crazy, Wonderful Experience (and Why You Should Go)
Listen, I had a moment at Kvariati Glamping. It involved the pool, a bottle of Georgian wine, and a sunset that painted the sky every shade of orange and pink imaginable. I was floating in that pool, looking out at the Black Sea, and

Alright, buckle up buttercups, because we're diving headfirst into my (slightly unhinged) attempt to conquer Kvariati Glamping Dome - 3, Georgia. God knows why I thought this was a good idea, I'm more of a "staying in pajamas and eating chips" kind of traveller, but hey, here we go. Prepare for a schedule that’s less “precise Swiss watch” and more “slightly-used bouncy castle.”
Kvariati Glamping Dome - 3: A Messy Adventure (aka My Itinerary)
(Day 1: Arrival & Existential Dread in a Dome)
- 1:00 PM: Arrive at Batumi International Airport. Okay, this is where the "adventure" already starts. My luggage? Nowhere to be found. This is an excellent start. (Internal screaming intensifies). Sigh. Okay, breathe. Customs, a quick chat with a bewildered airport official who clearly hasn't seen a tourist this disheveled in ages, and finally, out into the glorious Georgian sunshine.
- 2:00 PM: Taxi Chaos. Finding a taxi to Kvariati felt like trying to herd cats. Finally, after much flailing and a broken Georgian phrasebook, I'm in a beat-up Lada, hurtling towards… well, towards hopefully the right place. Pray for me.
- 3:00 PM: Check-in (fingers crossed). Found the dome! It actually looks like the pictures. Wow, the internet really can't lie sometimes. Except, the "luxury" seems to come with a healthy dose of "slightly unfinished." The toilet seat? Loose. The view? Stunning (a little compensation for the loosy seat). Inside I realize with a sinking feeling that I've forgotten my book and my charger. This must be the existential dread of a new beginning.
- 4:00 PM: Unpack (mostly a pile of clothes on the floor). I have a serious problem with folding, and the whole "live out of a suitcase" thing is already wearing thin. Oh well, who has time for fashion when there are views to absorb?
- 5:00 PM: Dome Exploration. The dome is more spacious than I imagined. I'm starting to think of myself as the queen of my own glamping castle. Except the WiFi is patchy, and I'm pretty sure I saw a spider the size of a small dog. Okay, maybe two small dogs…
- 6:00 PM: Sunset Sesh. (The first of many). I find a little hill with a view of the beach. It's gorgeous. I wish I had a bottle of wine to complete the picture but I don't because I forgot to go to the store!. I watch the sun dip below the Black Sea, and for the first time since I left home I feel something other than exhaustion and mild panic. The sunset wins.
(Day 2: Beach Days & Beach-Related Shenanigans.)
- 8:00 AM: Wake up. I don't mind that I wake up that late, considering my plans mainly include sleeping and eating. I would consider getting up earlier, but the bed is very comfy.
- 9:00 AM: Breakfast. Attempt to find breakfast in the area. Unfortunately, the cafe nearby is closed.
- 10:00 AM: Beach Time! Okay, so the beach. It was… well, it was a beach. Black sand. Crystal-clear water. A few too many sunburned tourists for my liking but it was beautiful and I spent a bit of time paddling in the waves.
- 11:00 AM: Beach exploration. I walked along the coast and found more beaches that were quiet and beautiful. I felt a sense of peace with the world.
- 12:00 PM: Lunch! This time I had lunch! I was successful today, and I ate some fresh seafood.
- 1:00 PM: Back to beach, more exploration and reflection.
- 2:00 PM: Napping time (or the time to nap).
- 3:00 PM: Back to the beach. I had an amazing idea, that would be very bad. I wanted to swim in the sea, but I didn't have my swimming suit, and I decided to ignore it, and I swam in the sea.
- 4:00 PM: I get back to the dome, and I realize that I'm sunburnt. The idea seems less and less of a good idea.
- 5:00 PM: Chill time and relaxation.
- 6:00 PM: Sunset Sesh.
(Day 3: Leaving and the Melancholy of the Dome)
- 9:00 AM: Breakfast. Enjoy a simple breakfast in the dome, maybe a last look at the sea.
- 10:00 AM: Pack up and prepare to leave.
- 11:00 AM: Say goodbye and check out.
- 12:00 PM: Travel back to Batumi Airport.
This is probably going to be an absolute disaster. I'll probably forget something essential, get hopelessly lost, and generally make a fool of myself. But you know what? That’s half the fun, right? It's the imperfections that make a trip memorable. And hey, at least there's a dome, a beach, and hopefully, enough sunshine to chase away the looming sense of chaos. Wish me luck.
